Hello, my amazing foodies. Today, I bring to you one of my favorite paneer recipes, the Paneer Sabji Recipe. This is a dry main course dish that works great with white rice, chapati, or even neer dosa. So let us get into the details.

What Ingredients are required for the Paneer Sabji Recipe?

  • 200g paneer diced
  • 2 onions
  • 4 garlic clove
  • 1/4 finger-size piece of ginger
  • 1 tomato
  • 1/2 Tablespoon turmeric
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Garam masala
  • A 1/2 Tablespoon cumin powder (or use cumin seeds with onions at the start)
  • 1/2 Tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 Tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 capsicum thin chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon ketchup
  • Coriander Leaves (also known as Parsley/ Cilantro)

How to make Paneer Sabji?

  • On a cooking pan (use medium flame), add 2 finely chopped onions, garlic, and ginger.
  • Sautee till it becomes light golden brown.
  • Add 1 finely cut tomato to the pan and cook for 1 minute with the lid covered.
  • Now sautee a little and then add the following spices/ masala in the respective order.
    • 1/2 Tablespoon turmeric
    • 1/2 Tablespoon Garam masala
    • A 1/2 Tablespoon cumin powder (You can avoid this if you use cumin with onions at the start)
    • 1/2 Tablespoon coriander powder
    • 1/2 Tablespoon chili powder
  • Mix well
  • Add 1 thinly chopped capsicum to the pan.
  • Mix well.
  • Add 1 Tablespoon ketchup and mix the contents of the pan well.
  • Let it cook for 1 minute with the lid covered.
  • Now, you can add 200 grams of finely diced paneer.
  • Let it cook well for 3 minutes with the lid covered.
  • Now, remove the lid and add cut coriander leaves.
  • Mix well.
  • Close the lid and let it cook for another 2 minutes.
  • After 2 minutes, turn the flame off. It is ready.

Finally, serve the delicious paneer sabji garnished with cut coriander leaves.
